Mbilima is one of the washing stations owned by Dukundekawa Cooperative, which means "love coffee" in the local language. It has won the COE in the past.
Dukundekawa takes a good care of both environment and farmers, and produces excellent quality coffee under the strict quality control. ONIBUS has purchased coffee from Mbilima for many years.
"1204" means April 12.
Only coffee cherries harvested and brought to the washing station on that day are used for the lot.
In order to solve the shortage of fertilizer, which has been a problem for coffee production in Rwanda, ONIBUS is collaborating with Dukundekawa in the Soil Project.Mbilima1204 has been selected for the RWANDA COFFEE CHALLENGE roasting competition, which was launched to raise funds to support the Soil Project.
